I've had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Branxholme Park and absolutely loved working there.

With 35 years of wedding photography experience, three North East Wedding Photographer of the Year awards and a Licentiate qualification from the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, I bring experience, preparation and a relaxed approach to every wedding I photograph.

A Fantastic Venue to Photograph

Branxholm Park offers an incredible variety of locations for wedding photography.

From the character of the house and its beautiful staircase to the grounds, woodland and surrounding countryside, there's always somewhere wonderful to create photographs.

The chapel provides an intimate and atmospheric setting for the ceremony, while the grounds give us plenty of opportunities afterwards for relaxed couple portraits.

And because everything is together in one location, you can spend more time enjoying your wedding rather than travelling between venues.

Some of my favourite wedding photographs aren't planned at all.

They're the nerves before the ceremony, the laughter between friends, the reactions during the speeches and those wonderfully unpredictable moments that happen when everyone simply relaxes and enjoys themselves.

After 35 years of photographing weddings, I've learned when to offer direction and when simply to step back and let the moment happen.

A Real Wedding at Branxholm Park

Kelly and Simon's wedding was my first opportunity to photograph a complete wedding at Branxholm Park — and it certainly didn't disappoint.

Their day included preparations inside the house, an emotional ceremony in the beautiful chapel and celebrations surrounded by family and friends.

There was a spectacular champagne fountain, speeches filled with emotion and laughter, beautiful portraits around the house and grounds, and plenty of memorable moments throughout the day.

We even managed a visit to Branxholm Park's resident goats!

The evening celebrations began with Kelly and Simon's first dance followed by a lovely father-and-daughter dance before the dance floor filled.

It was a fantastic wedding at a venue I would genuinely love to return to.
